George's daughter Kim Edwards warmly invites all those who knew, loved and valued George to celebrate him at Gateshead and share memories and stories of his incredible life on George Day.

"My Dad was incredibly happy in his life in Spain and China and George Day is in celebration of that fact as well as of him, a wonderful and  well-loved man.  It is also, for me, a celebration of all the incredible and sublime people who were in his life - his friends, both lifelong and new, throughout the world both in person and via the Internet, who loved and valued him by whatever means, for as long or as little, by face or by word.  I would love to see you all.  But whether you are present or absent on the 18th, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for enriching my Dad’s life by being in it, for being at his side through the years, for valuing and respecting him."

RSVP to Kim either by e-mail: georgeday.thebaltic@googlemail.com

Flowers:

Owing to the location of the service, please do not bring flowers; but if you feel you would like to contribute something, making a small donation to a cause or charity that you feel Dad would support would be a wonderful way to celebrate him.

George the Artist:

A small exhibition of George’s art work will be on show.  If you have any pieces of his work, and would like to bring them along to display, they would be most welcome.

Beachhutman is the soubriquet of George Edwards. In addition to my work as a Management Consultant, author, and sometime teacher, I paint pictures and engage in other generally artistic activities. These pages will give you a flavour of my work, and show the work by other artists that I like or have in my collection.
